Taiwanese High Mountain tea refers to oolong tea harvested from plantations more than 1000 meters in elevation. Higher elevations have become synonymous with higher-quality tea. Nowadays, the most famous high-mountain growing regions are Yushan (1400m), Alishan (1600m), Shanlinxi (1700m) and Lishan (2500m).
This fine High Mountain oolong is roasted to bring out the sweetness and floral/fruity fragrance of oolong tea.
